hey guys,
its my first post here on warrior forum so take it easy on me if this post has been answered in the past,

I recently added google adsense adds to my website as of yesterday and since then when I sign in to google analytics and look at the real time overview, there have been several pages being viewed that come up as 404. Here's an example:

/404.html?page=/SG&from=http://googleads.g.doubleclick.net/pagead/ads?client=ca-pub-3899726965431097&format=728x90&output=html&h=90&sl otname=9143249565&adk=1164203201&w=728&lmt=1379755 446&flash=11.2.202.228&url=http://www.exposedtraveler.com/how-to-settle-an-argument-in-school/&dt=1379755446281&bpp=62&shv=r20130917&cbv=r201309 06&saldr=aa&correlator=1379755446375&frm=20&ga_vid =1516883969.1379738062&ga_sid=1379753928&ga_hid=11 63976952&ga_fc=1&u_tz=420&u_his=2&u_java=1&u_h=768 &u_w=1366&u_ah=768&u_aw=1366&u_cd=32&u_nplug=0&u_n mime=0&dff=pt sans&dfs=16&adx=184&ady=1804&biw=1345&bih=505&oid= 3&ref=http://www.exposedtraveler.com/&docm=8&vis=0&fu=0&ifi=1&dtd=172&xpc=dJDkiKyUcx&p= http://www.exposedtraveler.com

There are several others that are similar. I am wondering what they mean. Is there something I can fix to not get 404 errors. Is this someone trying to view an ad? or is something going wrong when they visit my site? I am new to this whole online thing so I really appreciate any advice and help. Im not sure what the doubleclick.net is all about either.

Thanks for your advice in advance!!

I Think There may be some technical fault from Google Side that ads are not showing up. But don't worry It will soon be recover.

Check a page where your ad appears to make sure there's not a problem with how you are inserting the ad.

      W3C Link Checker

You might also check your page here just to see if you made any other kind of mistakes

    Hi Bradz,

It is possible that destination URL for the ad is temporarily missing.

I would guess Google keep track of ads that have no valid destination URL and block them if they are persistent.

Web pages can disappear for all sorts of reasons, internet problems, site down, server load, dns failures etc. Often these are temporary. Shared hosting may suffer a lot from temporary site outages due to their very nature.

If you find it is the same destination sites that are coming up you can block them yourself in your Adsense account.

    Allow & Block Ads/Advertisers URLs

    good luck

Thanks so much for the help!

most of the visitors are coming from facebook, as that is where I get most of my traffic.

but there are over 30 pages, similar to the one I posted above but slightly different that re getting errors.

I have no idea what they mean or why they are coming. hopefully they will be fixed in the near future.

could there be a promblem with my ads? it definitely doesnt happen every time someone comes to my site but today alone I have recieved over 30 of these

You are getting answers like the above because few know anything
    about coding....

Anyway, what is happening is that as google loads a page with php or something
similar, it loads each piece at a time. Header, middle, footer, etc. If it
    encounters a piece it can't find, boom...you get a 404 error like those. It's
not that the page can't be found, just some piece. Browsers are very forgiving
in 2013, so the missing piece is a nonissue to a casual viewer most likely.

Now your job is to look at the raw code and I mean the raw code, not the html
source on your browser. Find whatever tries to load and does not exist. You
    need to eliminate that code.

Is this wp, drupal, joomla, etc? Did you just install some option? Check the
configuration of it. There may be some piece that is not found.

Edit: I see the wordpress comment. If you did install a recent plugin, probably the culprit.

thanks so much for your response Paul!

its hard to know for sure because I installed the plugin at the same time I added google adsense to my site. the plugin is called Easy Adsense and i use it to automatically insert ads in the bottom of every post, instead of having to manually add them to every post. This could very well be the problem. It is strange however that I don't see the 404 pages every time though and instead it only happens occasionally...

Do you by chance know a good plugin that can insert ads for me that is reliable? thanks again for your help!

Take a look at Ads by datafeedr.com

It talks about random ads, but I find it perfect to display specific ads wherever I want them.
