Hello,
I'm in the process of creating a ecommerce site. While shopping site in being created i registered my domain and have been publishing content. In the mean time i'm opening high PR -do follow web 2.0 sites such as Yola, Wordpress , etc..

Now i understand to get the best out of this i should be posted original content on these web 2.0 sites. My questions is does the word count matter. I know for Article directories it should be 400 or more. Is it the same on the web 2.0 site...

Reason is i outsource my content writing and its a matter of cost,.

There is much debate these days over this question, and you may get conflicting answers. IMHO and experience there is no one single right answer in terms of "what Google wants." What Google REALLY wants is for you to provide what your readers want. ll Google wants to do is serve up the right search results to people. This means, to some extent, it's going to depend on what you're writing about and upon the topic and niche and its demographic. Still, that said, the 400 to 750 word count rule of thumb is certainly a good rule of thumb for Web articles in general. Longer or multipart articles, may be necesary from time to time, and it's a good idea to have a mix of article lengths and styles and then try to track which ones are getting the best user response as well as ranking. This takes some time to figure out.

You will get very less value from these web 2.0 since they are pr 0. So, my advice is that when you're going to write unique content, why not search for relative blogs and start guestposting. You will gain juicy Backlinks as well as relevant visitors.
