Transfer PR from one site to anther site

One of my sites had high traffic (couple hundreds daily) in 2011. It got hit by penguin update in 2012. Now it barely has 10 a day these days. (I used blog network and keyword anchor links)

I realize some pages have PR 1 and would like to transfer that authority to my new site. (However, the context is not applied to 2013, as they were older model product reviews.)

1) Could I do 301 redirect and copy the content (they were written as original) to a new site? Will Google treat the content as not duplicated on the new site?

2) Do you suggest that on those PR 1 pages, create 1 or 2 anchor link to my new site and articles (in this case, would get the authority transferred to the new one)

I'm growing a new site and have 20-30 daily traffic these days. I'm working hard for this upcoming shopping season. Any SEO or Traffic tips, kindly let me know??

I'm creating a new one and do all "white-hat" stuff. I hope the traffic and authority would sustain for years.

Something you might want to consider. If website A has a bad reputation with Google, do you really want to associate it with website B? If I were you I would not do a redirect until everything about site A was cleaned up.

That being said, a redirect should make Google consider that the content is now on the new website, and not on the old one.

    Hope that helps a little,
    Ole.

How about creating backlinks from old site PR1 pages to the new one? Is it worthy?

      Thanks!

I don't think it should cause any major issues. But it might not help as well. Also, PR doesn't really mean that much. Relevance is much more important.
