Type in SEO service and see who's still ranking on page one with 1000's of private blog network links a la ALN / BMR / UAW style.

High PR blog network links work the same way as they always did, the problem is too many money keywords as anchors.

All tanked sites that I analyzed had over 2/3rd money keywords and max 30 different anchors in total and on average a poor ratio of referring domains vs amount of different anchors. This is so extremely consistent that it's over obvious at the same time.

Fix this and you're good to go instead of paying way too much for fake whitehat campaigns.

The one still ranking for SEO service on the 1st page has 1469 refering domains and as much as 765 different anchor text's. That's the way to go and completely confirms my point.

If those blog network links were pure poison he would've tanked right away as it are the worse public blog network links that you can find on the web.

Yes true. even crappy blog comment links still work for me but using 20 keywork like "click here" etc. money keyword is only 5-10 percent. internal links aond onpage optimization do the rest of the work.

Clear your browser history & try again. None of that junk is on Google SERPs first page when I search Incognito.

I don't know what he is talking about either. That and I have to say again first page is NOT ranking. Top 3-5 maybe but 10 gets a very small sliver of the traffic. This is another thing that SEO WSOs has done bad to peoples'understanding. First page this and first page that as ranking is not really ranking.

In some serps position ten will get you all of ten visits a week....or less.

I dont really understand this anchor variation and stuff. If i have a website about iphone 5, the anchors will be about iphone 5. how the hell am i going to find 765 different anchor texts? That doesnt even make sense. if my website viewers/readers were to link to me, they wont go looking for a unique anchor text so that i get SEO benefits.

I wouldnt blame this all on anchor diversity rite now becoz its not the only thing google is after. I've a few sites that got hit and they had tons of different anchor text. i've another site that is doing just fine with most of the anchor text being their brand name. Is anchor diversity included in their algo filter? probably. is it all about anchor diversity? Hell no!! You cant really get away from penguin by just having a huge diversity of anchor text when all the links coming in are crap!!

When you ask 1000 people to send a link to your iphone5 site without further instructions, you think you would only receive a dozen different anchors? Go check some large legit sites to see how many different anchors they get.

I analyzed a lot of sites and it was clearly a lack of different anchor text's.

When you focus on iPhone5 and your url is Telecom, just to say something then your anchors could look like:

      hxxp://www.telecom.com
      hxxp://www.telecom.com/
      hxxp://telecom.com
      hxxp://telecom.com/
      hxxp://www.telecom.com
      hxxp://www.tele.com.com/
      Telecom
      telecom
      telecom.com
      iphone5
      where to buy the iphone5
      how good is the iphone5
      visit our website now
      iphone5 @ Telecom.com
      Great iPhone5 discounts at Telecom.com
      go to our website
      here
      visit our site
more info about the iphone5 here
      etc.

Of course you are not going to get away with tons of spam links when only your anchor text is diverse enough.

But when you have a semi-decent back link profile based on some public links and high PR links then you do get away with it as long as your anchors are wide enough. Now keep in mind that those public links and high PR links aren't real legit links, we don't have to lie about that of course. But as long as you stick to great anchor diversity in a very varied way then you do get away with it.

When you don't there is a high chance you tank. I didn't grab this from the air, it's based on 20 of my own clients that tanked and >90% had too many money keywords.

I then compared it to similar type of clients that didn't tank (similar in same country TLD, same kind of competition level and same back link profile) and there >90% didn't have too many money keywords.

When you graph that out it looks pretty much of the opposite doesn't it?

    Niko BAD networks are poison.

The networks you are seeing aren't apart of the services you mentioned. I know because I'm apart of some private blog networks and homepage link networks. Some that I got referred toand others that friends have setup.

Over exposed and spammed to death networks are the poison. Paid links and networks still work long term if you dont buy into a crap service.

I wouldn't want my links on a huge public blog network either of course.

My point is just that Google isn't able to auto detect those links contrary to what others seem to claim, if that was the case this page wouldn't be ranking at the 1st page anymore.

@Mike & Yukon: The kw is: seo service so check again, you should be quite familiar with the url and lol about incognito, that I didn't think of that myself
