Hi all,

My site got hit by an unnatural linking penalty. I am building an alternative site.
The penalized website has links to my social media pages. Also, my social media pages are linking to my penalized site.
My question is:
If I link my new site to these social media pages and from these social media pages to my new site will the new site get hurt due to the fact that my old site is still associated with these social media pages? do I first have to remove any links from my old website to the penalized website?

Thanks in advance for any help!

NEVER and do you really think moving on to another site is the solution?

Find out the wrong approach you took that made you lost ranking, clean up your profile and in some cases you can normalize your backlink profile with quality links or balancing the ratio.

    Nope..

you should implement a new linking strategy since that's what you've been doing for the old site and got hit.

if you still want to link your new site to your social media pages, then remove the old site first before linking the new one.
