Every backlink helps. Whether it is worth spending your time with it is a different story.

The advantage of article directory backlinks is that those links are in context. So they have more value than links that are out of context.

This is only applies if the resource box link is highly related to the article itself though.

That's horrible advice & anyone hit with an a link penalty in WMT will confirm.

      All links are not equal.

They have almost no value nowadays. Google knows that you put them there. They want to see backlinks that other people gave you on their own.

Yes I'd say it still helps but not as much as it did before. So it should be just one way for you to create backlinks

Actually I don't put all my eggs in one basket - I do it all - forum, article directories, blog commenting, Facebook, Pinterest, and the most: CONTENT - the more, the better :-) Really, good content is a way to get backlinks after all and you can also look for guest posts

It's a whole lot of work, Monja, to do all this stuff in getting traffic to your website while having a lot of stuff to do.

actually you have the option ;-) But if you treat it like a business that is the way to go. I agree though, it is a lot of time investment before you ever see the money coming in. Just if you are consistent it is well worth though. Also, you are rewarded with a MUCH better lifestyle...
Anyway, I don't want to convince you, I just say what works and content is the best thing you can do for your business

Moja, what do you mean by content? I think that everything online involves content. Even these forum posts are considered to be content.

I'm talking about content for your own website. You are right, everything somehow involves content but the only one which lasts is the one on your website. So that should be your priority - and everything else, after that, is marketing (true, with content involved)

Moja, how easy it is to use image sharing websites to get visitors to Internet marketing website or blog? Do you think these customers can reach us through these types of websites.
I don't know, but I have a feeling is that image sharing websites are for general public, not for biz people.

As hpgoodboy said, they can help but are they worth the effort?

I've noticed I do not get as much traffic anymore and do not get article directories in many search results. However, some of the articles that were republished still bring in worthwhile traffic.

So, try the republishing angle if you think they may be worth your time.

No way jose. My site was penalized for article directory links and it was a major pain to remove them.

I would say avoid them at all costs. You dont want a penalty.

Yes as I remember Article submission has no value yet.
Cause what people used to do, submitting single article on diff articles site. Which leads to spam.

It is very difficult to say whether article directory backlinks has good or bad impact, as it has helped me in some of the sites to improve and also some have get penalised.

I could find a few answers that lets a way to step forward with article marketing, while the other equivalent responses say to stay away from article marketing, so. Why does this flux happens? Does Google has completely shunned with article submissions, or what is that something to be looked at while making such promotions?

Searching a response quite a long time, but its left unanswered/baffled. Could anyone bring in an exact solution of what could be done to get back the rankings through the ways, apart from having a content (since I'm succeeding with it)?
