My SEO Keywords Dropping?

Approximately 20% of my SEO Services keywords are dropping from rock solid #1 positions down to #2, #3, and sometimes as low as #4. What I don't get is that I've never been in a Google dance with my competitors ever before for these keywords. Web design, sure. But not SEO. I'm worried because these are some of my most valuable keywords. Not because of traffic, but because of the high lifetime value of a client and the extremely high conversion rate of almost 100% per lead. I could really use some help with this because I appear to be Penguin 2.1 compliant and I was always ranked #1 through every panda and penguin and hummingbird improvement throughout the past.

Does anyone have any advice on how I could improve my rankings to #1 once again?

    Very nice question.

I've been with that experience also. I was SEOing a site and the keywords which is relevant to the site are dropping in ranking (website and keywords dropped in ranks).

    The reason why is that:

    1. You have competitors which is actually ranking for that keyword.

    2. Your competitors are fighting for those keywords to rank also their website.

Might be your competitor is spamming your site all over (with the keywords you are ranking). However I can give you an advice on how to fix it just beep me up.

In your case that won't work since if you disavow links, you will never know if that links pointing to yours is actually a helpful link.

Sure I do. If I didn't create it, then I have to assess it's intrinsic value.

Were these keywords created before G implemented Hummingbird?

Just wondering whether that could be a factor.

Hummingbird wasn't a penalty based update.

Really? Well that explains why I didn't get any messages in WMT.

So in your experience Yukon, what do you think Hummingbird was about?

I have a local site with about 50 pages of spun geotargeted content (was spun over 90%
and all articles passed copyscape). Then about 20 of the main pages were all manually done.

After hummingbird, both my homepage and every other page on the site lost rankings. I was maintaining #1 ranks for a long time, making a great profit, and now everything is either on page 6 or nowhere to be found (but still indexed).

I'm curious if you think its worth it to rewrite all my spun geotargeted pages?

I rewrote 5 last week, just to see if anything would change, and nothing has really changed. Should I continue rewriting the pages?

The only thing I'm worried about is wasting all the time to rewrite each article, just to find out that nothing changes and the problem wound up being something much simpler.

Honestly Yukon, I'm not sure what you're doing these days but I'd be willing to compensate you for your time if you'd like to look at the site.

If not, no hard feelings, I understand you're a busy guy.

Hello If your website keywords ranking are drop then no need to worry do one thing create 5 to 10 relevant high quality live back links and use different descriptions

If you can do this then in future no Google or other search engine Algorithms updates effect your website. Thanks

    Have a Nice Day

That link is not really enough. It's obvious that his competitors have 100+ quality backlinks or more.

I would not worry much for now if my keywords are still on the top 10 spot. That is (and just like others have mentioned here) the keywords may be very competitive and your competitors may be doing some pretty job as well.

I would recommend you just continue with your linkbuilding since you've mentioned that you are only doing white hat. But be very careful with your backlinks and always check these as your competitors may also be throwing bad backlinks at your site.

Additionally, I would also recommend you become active in social media sites. If done right, they can provide you with good direct visits.
