Hiring a Freelancer or A Seo Agency

I would like to ask you who you would prefer to hire for content and high tier (content focused) seo services, a freelancer owner of a mid in popularity internet marketing blog or a seo company?

Just to make it clear I am just trying to find out if it's better someone to market his business as a seo company or a freelancer using his blog for lead generation, plus which way should be used when you target seo agencies to resell your services and which way when you target small business owners

I think, this depends upon the credibility that one would be able to build through time. I have tried hiring both freelance writers and companies before. I never really had major problems with any of them. However, I think it is easier to market a SEO company, especially if it is supported by good reviews.

It depends upon your needs and the size of your site(number of pages and keywords for your site). If the site is a small static site with 6 to 8 pages then a single free lancer is enough. If the site is a dynamic site with millions of page hiring an agency will be helpful.

Some SEO companies also outsource the campaigns link building to people like us as well.

I'd say to move with an SEO agency who can perform the job that has been outsourced more beneficially. The one reason that I'd like to point here is you'll be able to have an option to contact if the task is unfinished. While preferring a free lance, I think you'll not be able to find for an alternate with your work left half done.

To avoid such certainties, it's righter to move with an agency

Very true. I also think that considering the size of the project is what should be done, first. Most freelancers have rates that are negotiable and with that, one would consider them for smaller projects. However, if a client needs manpower for bigger projects, there is no other way to have the project done but to hire agencies.

The answer will change on a per project basis. If your budget is small, find a freelancer you trust (aka, build a relationship beyond $3/hr Pakistani SEO services on Odesk). Imo, good freelancers are worth 10x what you'll get from the average "SEO agency".

If I were a client, I would not really entrust a huge project to a freelancer though he tells me that he can do it. I value my time and my money too much. I would always consider getting a team to work on such. So, for me, marketing your services as a SEO agency has more benefits.

I prefer reputable freelancers over agencies.

Also, if I'm going to go with an agency, I make sure they have a physical address. There are a lot of 1-2 people freelancers who call themselves agencies. This isn't true for all of them, but most of these "agencies" just outsource it for really cheap overseas.
