Does anyone know if Google can spider my profile page on the various vBulletin forums I sign up for?

I put my links to my site there and I was wondering if it's accessible. Reason is that when I am logged in, open a new tab and past in my profile URL, it comes up just fine. However, when I log out, then paste in my profile URL it is puts up a screen requesting that I log in.

Are profile pages accessible by the search engine spiders?

if you configure it to, yes, I use the VBSEO plugin, you can restrict certain pages from being crawled and indexed.

I would imagine it spiders cant crawl the pages then unless they have been configured to let spiders in ( which is likely ) Obviously if the spiders are just set as the Guest usergroup then they wont be able to access it.

I normally check by pasting a profile URL into google , then if it shows press the "cache" button on the search.

Also a nice little trick if you want to view a forum post with out registering.
