Hello Everyone,

Some of our sites are affected by latest penguin update. We didn't receive any unnatural links warning in GWT. Shall we use disavow tool to help us overcome this?
Also we're looking for any paid SEO toolkit which can check ranks, provide us data of spammy links and others.

Pls let me know you views on this.

Thanks

Not true, most penalties these days are a result of algorithm changes that don't require Google to send out a manual action / message.

No need to get your hands dirty on filing for reinclusion but yes still wise to disavow spammy links.

The thing is most people aren't able to judge which spammy links to remove and which to keep.

Perhaps I should devote a post to that on my blog as people make many mistakes by just disavowing PR n/a url's while they forget that that link might be very close connected to a page with pagerank but that doesn't show cause Google didn't update their toolbar PR.

Heck I have people who had PR6 homepage posts and they decided to disavow the inner url, which would have been a PR4 or maybe even PR5 in case Google updated the PR toolbar in a live way.

@OP: I found most of the paid tools highly unreliable when creating your disavow report. Even if you use it I would only grab the ones where it says High Toxic, and go through the ones where it says "Suspicious" manually your self.

I also agree with niko, that if you not get message in GWT, that's doesn't means your are not penalized by penguin. So find all bad link and remove it manually or with the help of disavow tool.

I just disavowed a few 100 links on my own site seoservicegroup dot com

Not 100% sure whether I have a penalty though but fact is that post titles all rank at page two so that's not very good of course.

    My main keywords:

    seo service
    seo services

Jump around between page 7 and page 10, but obvious those are damn tough, but as said my post titles should rank better so I think it has to do with that.

Will devote a post or thread to it in case I get any results from it.
