Hey,

I am creating backlinks in pastebin and similar website to that for my youtube videos.

Should I be pinging and indexing these pastebin links?

If yes, were would be the place to do so.

Thanks,
Mac.

    No need to do that.
Links should be indexed manually, just then when Google wants it.

While most youtube videos will get found and indexed very fast, many of them can linger if little to no promotion is done for them. Pinging is a short term fix that usually results in more negatives associated with it than positives, i.e. you keep informing the search robots to look at something vs "proving" it has value by having links to it. BacklinksIndexer does some initial pinging but focuses on links to links, which is basically just another form of advanced tier link building.

However, like you said you are building links on pastebin. The urls are not optimized well but those pages do look like they get indexed quite often, judging by it's homepage pagerank and Alexa rating. The meta titles are optimized so you can certainly index and build links to these links in order to funnel more juice back to your Youtube videos.

For youtube videos, you're video would probably get indexed pretty quickly without you doing any work.

However, for other types of links (which aren't on Google properties or authority websites), its better for you to ping those links.

Would it be possible to simply make a post on a high traffic forum to promote that video or site link? Maybe you could actually link to a page of your links instead, something very reputable such as Google+ page which is not likely to be penalized by Google for having so many reference links to your main site. That could be another way to notify Google of new links on your site.

You can ping your site, it's not a problem, but don't do it over and over again,
and for indexing you should wait for google to do it.
