Google could but it's also likely you will get a legal letter from Amazon to take your site down immediately.

My friend did something like that so 1 company contacted her saying that she should take down her site immediately, the other company contacted her saying that it's okay that she uses their name is her domain but she should put a disclaimer saying that it's not the official site.

Keep in mind that she used names of really huge global companies

Even further than that, Amazon would probably demand that the domain be turned over to them. Legally you would have to comply with no compensation.

I didn't know that, that would really suck especially if you put a lot of work into it already.

But yeah, all companies react really differently to these things. Its weird because a company that told my friend to take the site down is much smaller than the one that said it's okay

If that actually happened, could you get in trouble for taking all the content off? do they even have rights to the content?

There's a good chance Amazon could and would take the domain away from you. You are using their registered trademark and in order to maintain the trademark they are required do defend it.

Amazon cannot take anything. Why do people believe this?

Only the US Feds have the ability to take a domain. And that
is because of illegal activity. And, strangely enough, it could
be on a .com, .net, .org, .tv, and maybe others because they
really are the default TLDs for the United States.

Anyone else must file a complaint and win a judgement. They
cannot just take anything. We do not have websites open to
              the Wild West of justice.

It all depends on the company that owns the trademark, but I am sure Amazon would be rather aggressive. I wouldn't start a business venture knowing that it is the trademark of someone else. If they do decide to take action, all of your hard work goes down the drain.

Don't mix up adsense with the rest of the world. That would be, most likely, a violation of adsense. But the world could give a rip about trademarks here in the US, and google is not the internet police.

By the way forgot to mention that my friend monetizes her site using Yahoo/Bing ads and had no problem doing that. Her sites have been up for about 2 years now with no problems.

Maybe you can try using them instead of Google Adsense
