How long should i wait to see my traffic rise up?

Hi, i have owned a site for 5 months now but whenever i check my ranking on google for my keywords i don't even show up in the first 100 results, so my question is how long should i wait until i see my site in the first 100 results if i keep building backlinks.

    It will take effort to get your site to rank. Dont expect it to simply rise up the ranks. You will need to continually add valuable content and perform various SEO steps to see it rise.

You just need to focus on quality , informative and relevant content combined with links from sites built for people plus networking with owners of sites relevant to yours and you will soon start getting traffic...
