Hi,

My hosting provider suspended my server and did not inform me. The site was down for few days because of suspension. So, Google has dropped rank and it was in top 3 pages before but it is no where in top 1000. The same is for Bing too.

Please advise me how to recover rank.

Thanks

Try hosting at a different company. Google looks at IP number and that cannot be the same. Also, ask Google to review your web pages. While you are as it, get rid of dead links and spelling errors. Penalty for those is excessive. Google will want to have an account with you. This means set up an account with em. I have ad words, ad sense, etc... Bing will follow soon. Like everything Google does they seem to copy. Have high profile bloggers link to you. I will not explain how to do that, but you are a wise person.

It will take many months for your web site to rise up again. This is a slow process. However, you should be back in the top ten with in one year. Please do indeed learn your lesson as your site must be up 24/7 and cheap hosting can be very expensive.

  • Here's an article about this from a little while ago. it includes a video from Matt Cutts, from Google, talking about this very thing. It should help you understand what you need to do.
