How to rank youtube videos

Ok, so im starting a new website based on tutorials.

My question is, how do you rank youtube videos? I know you can add tags to the videos but is it the same as a regular web page?

For example do you need to leave backlinks to it like you would an article?

I haven't tried ranking youtube videos before so any help would be appreciated!

    I personally think ranking a you-tube video is really easier than ranking a regular website. Build some high quality and relevant backlinks ( same as you do for your website) and share it in some social networking sites. Using manual bookmarking could be a great top-up here. I am sure you will get to see a positive result within a week.

    Video is not the same "as in exact" as ranking a site. There are many variables to consider.

    As well, Many videos are not ranking as of this last update. Many local videos are are gone, If you see some, they have dropped to the 3rd page of G.

    Please take note and do some research of your own - Videos are still ranking well for things like - How To - Review - Learn to - etc.... Especially "Video" in the term.

    You should be fine creating vids for your tutorial site.

    Ranking a YT Video is pretty easy. Just build a few backlinks to your video (they can be spam backlinks), and a few social bookmarks. As mentioned by Moneymaker2013 the description plays a very important role in ranking your video.

    If you want to get some rank for your youtube video just build links to your video. I recommend that you follow advanced techniques of getting authority links and link-building tactics. If you are so lazy to do so, you could use Fivver.

    We rank Youtube videos all the time, to be honest. Spam is working amazingly for them. I don't think you need the high quality links as you would for your site. I'm doing wiki, comments, etc. Things I wouldn't do for a site. They are killing it.

    It is simple, make sure you have related keyword on your title and description (do not spam) and then get some backlinks for that video, share that video on your social accounts, it is simply may get top ranks on Youtube. (this method worked for me)

    - Use Long Tail Keyword on Title (but focus main keyword
    - On Description try give your main keyword 2 times on first 30 words.
    - MOST IMPORTANT : Copy & Paste your related videos (Ranked Videos) tags & paste on your video tag.
    - Wait for an Hour.

    Yes, it's the same... Moreover, there is just one big difference. Youtube also counts the number of VIEWS. So the more views your video gets, its position will be higher (of course if they are real!). So Social Media is an excellent way to make a video popular!
