    Connect to other bloggers in your niche, guest post on their blogs

    Connect to people on social media if possible - Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, LinkedIn and others

    Join forums that are about your topic and create and reply to posts there, but make sure to have good replies that are helpful to people.

    Then of course you can do SEO, do KW research and create posts on those topics. But before doing that I would recommend you buy an actual domain name. Free domains from blogger and wordpress don't tend to rank well on Google

    If your blog is new give it time at the same time do some research and improve your seo skills then apply it to help you boost your traffic and sales or whatever purpose you have in mind for your blog.

      Have to agree with the others. Make sure you really know your niche and then write highly quality content for it on a regular basis.

      Build links back to your site with Guest blogging, article marketing and as people have already social media too.

      Be consistent and carry out these actions on a regular basis and you will be all good.

      [Edit] I've just done a article on my site about Bounce Rate. Your Bounce rate number is important for SEO purposes for 2013. Your are looking for a bounce rate below 20% if possible.

      Basically it boils down to customer interaction if you don't want to the read the article.

      Make your site one that the customer wants to interact with.

      Your website should be customer-centric. Make the site appealing, use white spaces to create relief zones for the reader, give them information they actually want and make sure your load speed is under 2 seconds!

      So looking at your site azeemhakro I would maybe look at reducing the size of some of you paragraphs and look to tidy up the blog by placing posts in categories to make the site easier to navigate.

    -Being involve in forums and posting on these threads (with high traffic) which are relevant to your site content can help you
    -Being active in social media sites can also take your quality content to spread
    -Affiliate programs like PPC (Pay Per Click Advertising) on Google and other search engines. You can get great quality of traffic if the advertisement is properly optimized
    -Do some Press Releases.

    As a whole, what matters most are your product/service and the quality of your content. If your contents are not valuable to the users, the social media won’t care about what your site.

    If you want traffic you must think about it from the first word of your blog. I suggest you the following things:

    1. Before writing any blog post try to find keywords that bring traffic. Include the keywords in your blog post. A good way to find keywords suggestions and completions is soovle.com.

    2. After writing and posting the article share it over the social media. Promote your posts if you have money.

    3. Go and comment on niche blogs with authority.

    That's a simple plan which can improve your traffic in the beginning.

    Your site seems like directly connected to students, why not just have some notice in your institute regarding your site..
    Also you should join the social circles related to your field, i bet you can find a lot of facebook groups and linkedin groups related to your field,
    Since your have professional and education site i think linkedin can really bring you good surge of traffic, just join relevant groups there

    All of the major search engines have dedicated link sites that allow users to submit URLs to their engines. There are also directories that you can submit your site to. This can be done manually, or services can be hired to do the submissions for you. The results do not happen overnight.
    Sometimes, it can take weeks for the blog to show up. But it is a good way to get the search engines to crawl it and pick it up in someoneís search results.

    Initially guest blogging and blog commenting are great free ways to generate quick traffic to your site, if you are offering a service ect you can also write about it and do submissions which will be helpful for free traffic generation. Later you can advertise for more targetted traffic.
