Which do you think is more effective?

I just started using 7search a few days ago and have had a bunch of impressions and a few clicks, but no conversions yet.
Which type of ad do you think is more effective - a broad category ad or an ad for a specific product? For example I sell auto parts.

Should my ads resemble any of the following:
-Automotive light bulbs
-H7 headlight bulbs
-2005 Subaru WRX headlight bulbs

I'm not sure how far I should narrow down the ads, like have hundreds of ads for each individual part? I have gotten 87 clicks from my very vague ad about "Quality Automotive Bulbs"

7search usually makes traffic and not conversion. There are other good advertising networks that makes both. For example Adwords is the best.

You just started it, you'll defenitly see results, just be patient.
It's not necessary to narrow down ads too much.

Adwords is too expensive, if you don't get conversions you can switch to yahoo bing ads, buysellads.

I will agree that Adwords and Bing are great places to advertise and will disagree that Adwords is expensive. It's true that if you don't know what you are doing you will probably waste your money. However well-built campaigns can convert on very reasonable prices. Adwords and Bing still remain my No.1 choices when I start a product.

Rather than focusing on ads that are not converting you should focus on doing SEO for those narrow terms.

For example build an SEO campaign on:

        "Panasonic DVD Player New"

Get a primary keyword and then do 2-3 variations on it. You want to do this on products that you have high profit margins for. Oh yeah and 7search sucks.

I disagree with your assessment regarding Adwords is not expensive. Not true. Adwords is expensive. Bing can be expensive as well. Most people do not know what they're doing when building campaigns, keyword research quality score etc.

Finding profitable keywords is the hardest part, and getting conversions is very difficult. Most keywords are worthless. And you need a lot more than a $300 budget for testing. Bottom line is, most people fail when building campaigns on Adwords and Bing.

What's the point of having a sig if no one buys from you?

So I guess just trial and error?

    7search doesn't convert.

Majority of those small PPC are utterly useless.

If you have a small budget of $50 to $100 and have a good product within the right price range, you will be better off using adword, Bing or Facebook PPC.

Paid traffic can always be a trial and error. If the campaign you're running with 7search is not converting, I would suggest you try Adwords and Bing. And yes, they can be expensive but they convert well if you know what you're doing. Also, yes you can lessen the cost of paid ads by doing some SEO campaign for your other keywords.

    Good luck!
