Bing Ads Worst Tracking Ever

I've been using Bing Ads for a while and the tracking code does not work even after spending almost a thousand dollars in advertising.

I was using a PPC Management service and they said Bing Ads take 3 to 4 hours for conversion tracking to show.

After several hundreds of dollars in spending and no conversions, we suspected the tracking code was in error. Bing Ads Support said that there was a need to set up additional steps in order to tracking landing conversions.

So we did that and implemented the code. Bing Ads Support said the tracking was working fine and did a test conversion.

We continued running the campaign and still no conversions after almost a day.

Bing Ads is the most problematic ad network I have come across.

I never had such issues with Adwords, Facebook, 7Search. The conversion tracking on these networks are simpler and work perfectly.

    Bing has bigger delay for the stats to show up. I always check them on the next day, just to make sure I am not missing clicks/conversions. However no matter this annoying issue Bing works very well and can make thousands of dollars daily if you know how to use it properly.

    Sorry about the problem. Bing conversion tracking can work well when setup properly.

    Conversion tracking is so vitally important to pay per click optimization that we politely insist that our clients have at least one form of conversion tracking in place (but preferrably two). Redundancy helps minimize such problems.

    If clients don't already have tracking set up, we do it for them. Usually this consists of conversion tracking code provided by Bing or Adwords, along with Google Analytics conversion goal tracking.

    It's true that there is a larger delay in BingAds conversion tracking but apart from that it works in exactly the same way as AdWords' tracking. You copy the tracking code on the same page where you have your AdWords tracking code and that is it.

      Bing requires addition "action steps" to be created to track different things, such as "land" action.

    You don't need to create any steps at all. Ignore the "Add step" button, fill out the rest the way you want it, click "save and generate code", copy the code on the page where your Adwords code is and voila, that is it.

      Bing Support said we need to add in the action steps in order to track landing page conversions such as opt-ins. Bing Support themselves said so.

      Are you using Bing Ads right now? Because I heard these changes were implemented recently.

        I have updated my landing page and welcome page and still no results. You can view the source code. They told me to place the tracking code just above the </body> tag.

        Someone private message me and said she has been going through the same thing as me for two months. She has spent so much on advertising and 0 conversions.

        Looks like I am not the only one going through this. If others have the same experience as well, please post it here.
