Good luck in getting a response. Google is king, you don't question the king and his decisions.

Yes. I fully agree with you. They will not getting back to him... You'd better withdraw them ... I was in a very similar situation and when I started to complain -> voila -> BAN... I am not sure if this was AGAINST their rules, but...

Its a news blog, things do get viral and a lot of traffic does come in randomly.
I also read this on adsense

    "Current balance
    This field shows:
    • Your account balance, which includes unpaid earnings. Please note that your payable balance can change over the month if any credit or debit adjustments are applied to your account."

Do you know if most of that money was from only one or two advertisers? And did most of these clicks come from only one or two articles? If they failed to pay, then that could be the reason. Most I have seen is 6 percent taken off. This month, it was reduced less than one percent.

Buying traffic is allowed. You are incorrect about that.

It depends on your definition of "buying traffic". If you type "buy website traffic" into Google and purchase from about 70% of the sites that come up on the first page of results, you'll be buying traffic Google does not allow.

Like I said, buying traffic is not against Google's TOS for AdSense. Buying fake traffic that clicks on ads... sure that's a problem.

The post I was responding to said

          buying traffic is not allowed.
          That is completely untrue.

That's a good point. One lesson I learned from Google as well is not to argue with them, rather, have a constructive discussion instead and just humble up. I was banned only 4 months after starting my Adsense campaign with no reason given of course. After appealing with a long letter explaining how I had understood their policies, their priority to protect advertisers and why, suggestions of how to make sure I ran Adsense correctly and etc, my account was reactivated.

It seems that anyone who appeals to Google with an attitude is never successful - even if they are dead to rights.

OP posted the same thread on a bl@ck hat forum & says his traffic source was the problem, whatever that means (wasn't specific).

Might want to figure out Google/Adsense policies first.

That's why I asked him to tell us his traffic sources. But he's disappeared from his own thread. LOL.

I think you are very lucky not to have had your AdSense account banned, whether you did anything wrong or not. I still think you should contact Google.

People just don't read what google publishes. They leave off
important parts, or quote some half-ass guru they heard
of joeblowseomadness.com....so you get nonsense about
adsense and paid traffic....why on friggin' earth do you think
google sends up free adwords coupons?!?!?! For our health?!?!?!

There's paid traffic and then there's paid traffic. Even a half baked
adsense person should know the difference.

They "took" $7k from you because it was not valid. Just because
it's on a large scale, does not mean anything....oh wait.
      It does mean something.

It means that you are getting invalid activity on a LARGE scale...
      like almost 90%! ROTFLMAO!

Better put a stop to that before it's too late.

Well, probably already is. Keep watch for the next ban thread...

I'm surprised you're not banned, them removing such a big amount would warranty a good check on your site and traffic.

although one other possibility is that it had something to do with the advertisers.

Wow that's really good amount of money! Withdrew the money as fast as you could! And then check your cpanel if there's sudden spike in the traffic. IF yes, that is suspects
