Competitor Comment Spamming with my URL

I've just gone through OpenSiteExplorer and discovered a heap of spammy blog comments with my domain and keywords! I think this must be a competitor...

I have also been complaining lately of Google not liking my site http://www.warriorforum.com/adsense-...udit-help.html

Is the best way to try and counter-act this to simply disavow all the spammy links via Webmaster Tools? Is there anything else I can do!?

Don't panic. Just use disavow tool either it's Google webmaster or Bing webmaster. Both will give you satisfactory results.

I also keep watching my site's backlinks and remove all spammy links coming from unrecognized sources, after Positive seo failure, competitors are busy doing negative seo for each other, so it is necessary to regularly check on your site.

Cheap minded competitors can do that..so disavow them if they are hurting your site..

Keep on eye..If some are high pr,then don't disavow them..But all are spammy,then it is best to disavow them..

It's really strange, people are putting their efforts in damaging the reputation of their competitors. Instead they should be focused on building their own reputation, and improve quality.

It depends on how much authority your site has. If its pretty high, then negative SEO can't hurt you. If someone negative SEO'd Amazon, do you think it would affect them? There is a point where you become immune to it.

The best option is to disavow all of the spammy links. You can also use some link removal services but i can't recommend at the time as i've no used any of them.
