Does Google Dance affect your homepage keywords and inner pages?

The reason I ask is because my keywords have been ranking well on page 2 and one of them broke into page 1 a week ago. About 4 days ago I found my homepage keywords ranking past page 5,10,15 and 20.

They are jumping around a lot too and my blog posts are jumping around too.

Is this Google Dance? I have no messages in webmasters either, so Google Dance is all I can think it can be.

My link building strategy consists of my guest posting to high pr sites but only making around 20 links per month.

    Hard to tell, seems like a new site, so the "dancing" is some what normal.

    But only relying on links from guest post is bad idea... Google sees them as a "paid" post, unless you get rid of author box and the sites are legit (not some "SUBMIT YOUR GUEST POST HERE" type of sites).

      The site is over 3 months old and it has recently went from 50 uniques per day to 180 uniques per day coming from my blog posts. But since the rankings are jumping around, traffic has went down to 20 uniques per day.

      I understand what you mean. I'm just a bit worried but since I have had no messages from webmasters, is everything ok?
