need some suggestion about the Domain Name

Hello Warriors,

I am working on my new project where i am stuck at choosing the domain name. I want to use a domain which is more brandable. Here are few few things on which i want your opinion:
  • The domain i like most don't have .com available(but the domain owner is not running any site on that domain, they are on sale at sedo), but have .org available. Should i go with .org or get new .com domain.
  • What do you say say about the domain name with one numeric digit in it, like xxxx4xxxx.com/.org. is it good to use one digit or i should get it like xxxxforxxxx.com/.org

I will be using the domain for amazon affiliate marketing. I want some expert opinion on this situation.

    ".com" domains obviously have more value than ".org". It also has some edge if you do seo for .com.

    I still prefer .com, it works the best I think if you want to brand a website.

    I still prefer domain name that's short and sweet, easy to mention, pronounce, and remember.

    However, you won't need to worry too much about the domain name, if you have the best content people will still go back and visit your website.

      I'm also agree with your post. Wanted add one more thing you may use numeric or short letters in it. It will not affect on traffic. If project target is worldwide then you need to for .com.

    But still .com is more popular and used widely

    I would try to use a .com or a .net. If you love the name for the .org, you can still use it, but you will just have to do more to market it.

    Also, I think it is fine to use a digit. I have registered names with both "to" and "2" to keep anyone from piggybacking off of me. I actually wound up using the "2" because the Logo came out looking cool. You can either drive traffic or you can't.

    i would keep myself with .com domain...if the domain name is already taken..dont freak out becuz by adding some general wording like "my" "best" "the"..for sure you gonna get it!! but make sure you buy a domainname which is easy to remind for people in your market...and of course.like visimedia said...very often post good quality content on your site!! THATS VERY ESSENTIAL!!
