Backlinks from foreign sites

Hi all.

Well have a small question for all you experts here..

How will Google and the other search engines rate incoming links from sites with content in another language than mine?

My website is in Danish, and as I'm about to do some linkbuilding now I wanted to know if it serves me to build links from e.g sites from US or UK?

    I don't know if this helps but I outsource some of my SEO and had good results from the service.

    All the sites were English but the service I used got back-links from Asian countries too.

    It worked for sure...but would like to here what others say.

    Well, if you get links from US or UK sites you are going to rank your Danish site on Google.com and Google.co.uk instead of Google.dk except if Google U.S/UK is your target then make sure your content are in English.
