Hi there,

I have an exact match domain name for a highly competitive keyword. My anchor text profile is mainly brand term which happens to be my domain name. If I rebrand my website and change domain including a 301 redirect of all pages will my new domain get penalised for this exact match keyword?

Thanks

No it will be a brand name. So existing site is say "jobs in uae" and I want to rebrand it as something like "alljobs.com"

    Thanks

Idea is good. But dont redirect your old domain to new one because it may pass your penalty too.

I dont have a penalty. I just want to rebrand the business. And I am worried if I 301 redirect the old domain, these old anchor text link will count toward over optimisation on the new domain.

Yes, all the link juice will pass to new domain. But if you did not done any over optimization, keyword stuffing for your old domain then you do not have to worry at all.
