Is this SEO Issue?

Hello,

I am working on ecommerce website that has many listings. when I open A product url and if I type anything still that url is live I can see content. It is not showing any 404 error massage.
Is this will issue for SEO? What to do?

    Check your webmasters account and see whether Google is throwing any message related to 404 error. As far as my knowledge a page or link which doesn't exist on any website must return a 404 error to the user, if not it is an issue. So make sure your website shows a 404 page when someone types a url that doesn't exist.

      I have not install GOogle webmaster account yet will be doing later this.
      But, if this is issue then how do solve it. Google will consider as a duplicate content issue?

            I am sure there is some fix for this, but I'm not that tech savvy to go deeply, may be someone with better technical knowledge could help you. I thought I could just give you basic suggestions. Or you can contact the person who built the site and ask them for help, because this is a common and simple issue. I

              I already approach to the web developer on this as he dont know whether it will cause seo ranking so, I asked this question here. I hope someone give me expert advise on this.

    For my point of view it is not an issue but you should check your webmaster tool that google is throwing any message of 404 error.
