Expanding PPC Campaigns

Hello, I've jumped into ppc before with not much luck and faulted short due to the lack of further effort or spending to much money on adwords.
So I tried again and one of my campaigns made $150 including upsells (like on the 10th click), so I've spent about as much as the initial sell would be on further advertising it with no luck.
I've made several other sells with different products...
I thought id go a little deeper more traffic(more waste of $$$) from different networks, and add tracking & cloaking on all of my links.
Have I still not found a product that converts well enough?
