Is only getting high quality more and more dofollow links is helpful to our website in ranking or traffic? Rather than nofollow. Today high quality submission website like ( delicious, diigo etc) provides you nofollow links, so submitting website in these sites are not helpful? I study somewhere you work as earlier, don't check website provide you dofollow and nofollow link, but make sure website is high quality, not banned in google and other search engine.

So, i want to know that, today what is our work strategy plan to rank the keywords in SERPs.Please share your views.

I think it is not a big issue that you have a bulk of do follow back links. I think you should have quality links weather it is do follow or no follow... Delicious and Diigo are the most traffic oriented site so we should concentrate on these types of sites compare to low quality do follow sites.

Links from authority sites do help even if they are no follow. However these links will not pass pagerank. Its best to have a mix of no follow and do follow to make it look natural to Google.

Those 2 sites are good and it does not matter at all if they are dofollow or nofollow. In both cases this will help your website get a better ranking... Especially if you receive some vote-ups or saves that will surely increase your visitors count!

Not worth it! Hmmm. I hope you look over this response. Nofollow are a lot more powerful than certain marketers seem to realize. Keep a mix of the two and Delicious & Diigo etc are certainly worth it!

Well, there is more than just passing pagerank with those sites. delicious and diigo are good source of traffic depending on the quality of posts that you will make.

So I think you should not only chase for links that pass pagerank. It is also good to build links that sends traffic.

As more and more sites are turning into nofollow kind so its not a time to concentrate on it but care to have/build a reference on high traffic sites (as most of the other members recommended). This surely will help to achieve some better position in search results.

No, it doesn't mean that these links are not helpful, infact they are helpful to boost the ranking, but you need many of these links to make them effective, where as dofollow links have more importance even if they are few in number.

That makes no sense. How can they boost your rankings?

nofollowlinks don't count for shinola, except signaling to google
that you are spamming...maybe people do not realize that's
what is was designed for: signaling spam, untrusted links.

Sure. Go and grab yourself a bunch of those, baby!

2300+ posts and you just said WHAT?

Where have you been, in the off-topic section?

There's a clue in the name man. NO-Follow. Or do you believe that instead of coding into the algo what that tag implies. Google just decided to scare people with it, and went playing golf that morning instead?

      edit:

I just read your WSO and that helps explain everything.

You do know that link spam, is spam whether manually created or automated.
You do know that manually creating links to manipulate SERPs is Blackhat not Whitehat.
You do know your either totally clueless, or totally deceptive with your WSO SEO business.

Luckily for you, your customers don't seem to know either.

    one word - diversification.

you need to have everything in at aleast small numbers - social signals, do follow, nofollow, blog comments, forum links, guest posts....that diversification strategy looks natural in the eyes of mister G.

Is it hard? of course that is why real SEO cost a lot.

Search engines may not follow or even pay attention to NoFollow links, but that doesn't mean that they aren't valuable. The fact is that NoFollow links can generate website traffic, increase exposure in new communities, and help you gain citations for your website -- all of which will help you improve your success online. Understand that both NoFollow links and DoFollow links are good for your website.
