Canonicalisation: Blogposts copied from Blogger.com to Joomla

Hello,

first time poster here.

I have a blogger.com blog with personal and professional posts which I want to leave in its entirety published.

I recently also started a professional portofolio site in Joomla and I want to copy all my professional posts from blogger.com to Joomla - while still keeping them in the blogger.com blog - so that the Joomla site is a complete archive of my work including both the projects and the professional posts.

The point is that Google will presumably pick up the duplicate content and penalise (I guess the latter) Joomla site in terms of rankings. Is there a way to avoid that?

Will cross-domain url canonicalisation help? If so, how do I do that exactly? The relevant official Google blogpost says I should post the rel=canonical tag on each blogger.com article individually. Although a hassle I'd be willing to do it if it'd make a difference but the blogger.com platform does not allow editing the header of individual posts; only of the entire site (where I shouldn't be placing the rel tag).

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance
