Tier 2/3 Linkbuilding Clarification Question

So, I think that I've got the jist of multi-tier linkbuilding...I've worked on other methods of traffic generations (SEO mostly), but I want to give this a shot, especially now that most of the new Google algos are in place.

So, Tier 2 links would go to Web 2.0 sites like Hubpages, Squidoo, etc., then have a link pointing to your "Tier 1" site (money site)? Am I correct?

Also, any comments/suggestions would be much appreciated!

If you are aware of the new Google algo updates, you would be best steering clear of Tiered link spamming altogether. Stacking shit links on top of shit links, just make a bigger pile of shit links. Your pile gets a lot easier to see too.

Squidoo, Hubpages? are we back in 2009? Is this a Doctor Who Anniversary effect?

definitely use squidoo, hubpages etc for your tier 1 links but take the time to create good quality content on them. You can take a few more risks on tier 2 if you want to give some extra link juice.

Tiered link building's ROI is so less lately , so it is high time to revisit this idea.
