Is it normal to get rejected for adsense?

Hi, I'm a relatively new blogger and I'm looking for ways to monetize my site.

I applied for Adsense and got rejected and am wondering why this would be? Do you personally have an experience of being rejected and then getting accepted later on? I'm just wanting to know if there's a possibility of me being able to use them eventually.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I never got rejected but I can see why you did if you're talking about the site in your sig. It's essentially everything that the google monolith goes against. Not surprising.

However, you may be barking up the wrong tree with adsense, anyway. If you have an IM, MMO, SEO blog that offers good value to the readership there are many better ways to monetise the site. 1) Build the audience (easier said than done unless you have something original). 2) Learn what they need. 3) Sell it to them.

You might want to go about research on number 2 before you get stuck into number 1.

By the way, I like to obfuscate things just to keep the post slightly more interesting than the norm.

Edit: "I'm just wanting to know if there's a possibility of me being able to use them eventually." - Yeah, I don't see why not!

Hey thanks man for the advice. And yeah I've heard that there are better ways to monetize one's site anyway. I'm just looking for a few short term solutions while I work on the 3 steps you outlined. I really appreciate the advice though man!

And I appreciate your recommendation 55sadhikar, I just personally don't want to do anything that might get me on Google's bad side. They kind of run the internet and I seriously would hate digging my own grave online by doing something that I might regret.

      Thanks guys

The entire MMO niche is the problem.

The easiest way to get approved for adsense is to have a BlogSpot site set up, get some plr articles (5 at the max) and apply, easy way to get approved. You can also temporarily loan a website from someone else and remove the adsense from there and submit that, another way to get approved. Apply to bidvertiser, I don't know how good they are... people have told me that their CTR is lower than adsense , so may be in that terms adsense is better but you can always apply to adsense and get approved. Also you need to have privacy policy, about us and contact us page in your website in order to get approved.

      Do NOT try this.

So, yeah. Set up a site that is not owned by you. Put some PLR articles on it.
Or, alternatively, scam Google by pretending a site that was formerly on their books under somebody else's name is yours.

    Sounds legit!

It's normal. Especially if your blog is new! Also don't forget that you should NOT use any other project like Adsense in the same time. Do you post content often?

Ok I'm glad to here that it is somewhat normal. Wouldn't want to be that odd man out

But yeah I try to post content around every 3 days or so on the site, and so I hope after a while my Alexa ratings will go up and maybe Google will then allow me to use Adsense. But yeah I guess I can see how the MMO niche can cause google to be suspicious.

Adsense is a risky way going forward, recently there are many news about adsense getting banned for no reason on very good blogs. MMO niches have many other ways to monetize.

I think Google must have provided you the reason behind the rejection.

If you have traffic, stick some CPA offers on it. You get WAY more than adsense anyway. Just make sure you stick to lead-based products and dont go below $15-20 bucks per action. That should get you started in no time.

Any questions just let me know

You might want to give PAY PER CLICK NETWORK HOME - AdClickMedia a try. They have some good cpc.

I've seen $5.00 on a click on one of my sites.

    Welcome to the crowd.

    1. Product creation (get affiliates from clickbank, promote on your website).
    2. Affiliate marketing - promote someone else's product, get a commission. Common marketplaces are Amazon & Clickbank.
    3. CPA - I really have no idea what it entails, but I heard it makes millionaires.
    4. AdSense - you know what this is.
    5. Direct advertising - sell space directly to a fellow website owner for a fixed price.
    6. Sell it.
    7. Others the author of this post has no idea about.

I applied to AdSense once with a .blogspot blog. Got rejected. Shrug.

Now, I'm trying again with my own website. It's been a couple days since I submitted the request.

It's not normal, but yes it becomes normal when you keep trying hard on adsense and they keep rejecting you.

I got rejected for Adsense once when I created a new blog, put one article on it and applied for Adsense.

A solid plan that I followed to get an account:
      1. created a new site
      2. wrote unique articles (I had close to 50 articles)
      3. waited the new domain to age up to 6 months

..oh, and NEVER buy those ready made Adsense accounts from Fiverr . Starting out, I bought 4 of those, one after another, they all got deactivated, or maybe it's just me but I didn't have any luck with those.
