The 10 Day Ultimate Traffic Strategy

Hello everyone. So, I've been doing SEO and building sites and blogs online for almost 3 years now. During that time I've had a full time job, however, I've just quit for a summer job, then after that, I'm dedicating my time to building my online business.

It's been hard to be consistent with my full time job, so I believe, that the strategy below, if done consistently, would bring in lots of traffic. It's something that can be done without outsourcing, at first, then with the profit made from it, you could outsource it and work more on building sites and making money.

It's a 10 day strategy, because basically, you're doing 10 things a day, each, except articles. So, let me know what you think:

10 Yahoo! Answers / Day
10 Forum Posts / Day
10 Blog Comments / Day
1 Article / Day

So, at the end of 10 days, you'd have 300 links from Y! Answers, forums and blogs and you'd have 10 articles to submit to Article Directories and Web 2.0 sites.

I've yet to test this, but I just wanted to throw it out there and see what all you experts think about it.

Thanks!

  • Not that I think I´m an expert but, Yahoo is no follow. So for SEO the links are worthless. Forum posts: I´m not sure how much these links are worth. For example: If you have your url a 1000 times on the same domain, does Google count each link? Otherwise one could use WP themes with ones url and give them away for free and one could get 100000´s Google Backlinks in time.
With blog comments I had some good results. If the page had PR2 or more. However I have only a few links on these blogs. I don´t know if Google will count everyone. Blog comments work best only for a couple of days. Some blogs show new comments on their homepage which usually has the highest PR. So if the home page has PR 5 and the page with my comment PR 2 I notice an immediate effect. But one does not stay on the home page for long.
With articles I also do not know for sure what´s best. Is it better to post 100 articles on 100 directories/different domains, or is it better to post them to only a few, but high PR directories.

    Good strategy.

    Be careful though.

Firstly - you can get banned at Yahoo at the drop of a hat. Some people swear by it - however, it is easy to get banned.

Bolg comments, articles and forum posts are certainly worth trying.

The key is to track where you traffic is actually coming from.

Also concentrate on content and backlinks.

    Regards

    Gerry

I used Y! Answers for one of my sites and started to rank really well in Yahoo. Actually, the majority of my traffic comes from very competitive keywords in Yahoo.

I've yet to do excessive blog commenting, but I've heard it works well.

Yes - you are right. It can work well. However, you can spend significant time answering questions and have a lot answered and plenty of links and then BAM! it gets deleted.

If you don't mind continually setting up Yahoo accounts then it should send some decent traffic.

        Hi

I have a blog that is movie related and only promoted with YA and it gets a ton of traffic but I have found that the traffic doesn't convert well so I don't use YA anymore, it's all about testing!

What a lot of people forget about in their quest for backlinks is the actual traffic that can come from the backlinks themselves in many cases it's more than can be gained from the increased search engine rankings. If you always use quality content in your forum posts and social bookmarking you will get a ton of traffic.

I have written a free pdf with a worksheet to help you stay on track on how to get to the front page on Google, if you would like it it's on my Traffic Secrets 101 - All the traffic secrets you need! blog.

        Kind regards

what a brainstorming you have!!! Very interesting... Y!A's definitely has nothing to do with SEO, so not necessary at all...
          I definitely agree to this,

However, If you always use quality content in your forum posts and social bookmarking you will get a ton of traffic.

YES ! Most important is that your traffic is highly targeted. You will find it hard to make your traffic convert to dollars if you don't target the right person for your product.

The site I'm promoting is also movie related (in my sig) and I've gotten a lot of traffic from Y! Answers. I'm ranked really well in Yahoo for some keywords related to movies. I'm not real sure if that has to do with me answering questions on Y!Answers.

I do have a question. What would be the best strategy to get my site to 200 unique visitors a day?

I'm also trying to promote this site:

Rid Man Boobs From Your Life Forever!

Thanks. And thanks for all the responses. This is turning out to be an educational post.

'Excessive' word is not that preferred. 10-15 blog commenting a day, for me its enough

Your traffic strategy could work, but in my option better traffic results can be achieved with much less effort.

The first things you should consider when it comes to search engine optimization are: Internal SEO Factors

    • If your website is not optimized well for important internal factors, then it will cause problems when search engine bots and spiders visit your website to crawl it and index the pages.
    • If the website does not have a good internal link structure and/or if it lacks relevancy, then it you will most likely experience poor keyword performance.
    • After your website is properly optimized internally, then it is much easier to archive desirable results when optimizing your website for external factors.
    • In most cases it is not only where you place back links to your website, but how you place back links to your website can make a big difference as well.

Sometimes I like to create my own relevant websites that I can use to post back links to for my main site that I am optimizing for free organic search engine traffic.

To increase keyword performance; I also like to post a few links within relevant categories at deep link directory websites.

If you have any further questions or comments, feel free to post them.

Yahoo answer is one of the strategies I do everyday. Just be careful on answering the Questions in Yahoo ANSWERS. You might get banned.
