What's there to promote in the home improvement niche

Logically you would say Adsense but the thing is that I plan to turn my niche relevant network sites into real websites. Obvious that brings extra costs and those have to come back so to do this in the best way possible I need to actually monetize them.

Featuring Adsense on each of them would be the dumbest thing to do so I'm looking for alternatives.

Let's take "house/living", a huge collection of electricians, upvc windows, shutters, roofers, humidifiers, real estate businesses, beds, sofas, you name it...

What would you monetize it with?

Or should I perhaps just focus on a list instead of direct selling?

If so, what would be interesting enough for people to sign up to my list when they come in from so many different searches?

What angle should I take here when deciding on post titles?

My VERY FIRST EVER site I made...my very first penny I made online....

"Reconditioned Power Tools" from Amazon was the niche...

    Edit:

I am writing a lot of content in this niche ATM for clients. I see clients having sites for home/basement extensions ....new garage doors, solar panels, home-security, new isolating windows, ROOFING, basement extension...kitchen modeling..oh my good I could go on forever...it's a huge, huge niche.

How about Amazon? sell home improvement related products on your site.

When using unique affiliate tags for each site it's impossible for Google to detect whether the affiliate link is mine or belongs to someone else right? There's no other common identifier in those affiliate links?

I knew there had to be something better indeed, just couldn't come up with it.

      Thanks!
