Does Adwords pass keywords data to Analytics if accounts are not linked?

Hello,

I have the following question, since I'm advertising a 3rd party website (affiliate) using AdWords.

I received a request to stop using the brand name of the website as a target keyword and then I realized that my Dynamic Search Ad had clicks on such keyword.

My question is how did the website detected these keywords? Does Adwords pass this data to their Analytics account (both accounts are not linked) or what?
