SEO and Changing Business Name

by HeatherD 1 replies
Looking for some SEO advice for this situation:

I need to rank a new website and create a google places account. This only needs to be ranked locally and seems straightforward enough, but the business name will be changing in 3 months.

Am I looking at a huge headache? Do you lose your ranking on google places when you change the business name?

Sorry if these are noob questions!

In that case, you should have to work hard again to get same rank in Google places.
