Hi,

I know EMD is not as effective as before and I know there is a penalty for having an EMD with thin content. However, my understanding is that EMD is still effective as long as you have quality content valuable to the readers. So my question below is provided that the site itself has valued content.

How much difference are there between Exact Match Domain and Partial Match Domain?

For example, how much difference does it make between "newyorkhotels.com" and "myfavoritenewyorkhotels.com" and "example.com", when searched for "New York hotels"?

Does Partial Match domain(myfavoritenewyorkhotels.com" has an advantage close to "newyorkhotels.com" or it does not have much advantage?

Also, does the penalty for EMD apply for PMD to some degree?

Thanks

No difference. You can use whichever one you like. However, I would select the shorter one.

From what I have seen lately, EMD and PMD's are still effective but probably not like they once were. I wouldn't get hung up on that though as building an easily remembered brand name is just as good if not better in my opinion.
