Can anyone explain this? Has anyone gotten a 0 on their page rank?

My website has has 0 page rank at the moment. Hasa nyone recently lost their page rank?

This is definetely weird but I am working to build better back links and got tid of bad back links from before. I can say the site is indexed so I'm not sure it's been penalized by google or not.

Thanks

Your links are not great at all m8. And don't post your domain publicly and then go on to say your building links. Google is watching these forums.

Don't let all the hyped up BS confuse you man. Here's what works plain and simple.
Build yourself a private blog network.

And everytime someone mentions Article directory to you, just punch them in the mouth.

Hear that. Well I try to keep the blog updated regularly now. Hope to build it up to be a source of news and info in the topics niche.

The thing is after moving from Yahoo to Shopify there's no easy way to intrigate Wordpress with Shopify so I'm using Shopify's blog tools on the domain for the blog.

I don't know if Shopify blog can reach people like wordpress - back when we used wordpress it seemed to reach people pretty easily but ive deleted the old blog since then and hoping to build up the new one.

I think I may try some new blog ideas and doing titles that would simply be things that people may type into google such as questions about related items,etc... and keeping up with news.

I have just lost my page pr from 1 to 0.
I think the reason for mine is no update for long time.

If you mean update (making a new post). That's got nothing to do with a pages PR. Inbound links give PR not words.

Dont listen to what most people say.

I had a PR1 in 3 months of the sites launch then dropped to PR0 for around 1 year and now its a PR3 and most of the new links ( around 200 editorial ones) arent even calculated in that as the PR update takes into account uptil mid October anything afterthat will be shown in the next update.

You mean like 6 months before October. The PR update you see
is at least 6 months behind. If not more.

If you lost your page rank than your backlink are not relevant according to your business because page rank depends on baclink.

In this pr update many people have reported that pagerank dropped. Even articles at searchengineland.com talk about drop in pagerank for many websites. One of my domains dropped from pr2 to 0 and another one from pr3 to pr2.

It's normal to lose your PR... The update happened in NO time... Nobody had worked on his websites when the PR update happened. Just be sure to get your website in BOTH related and good (with a High authority!) blog

The reason a site may lose PR even if it does not loose links is because of the way Google calculates PR. Let me explain.

The top sites have a PR of 9 (facebook, google, yahoo). All sites over time build more links, since 9 is the max PR, in order to maintain the difference, the top sites are kept at 9 and all the other sites are downgraded in PR. Without the downgrade, over time all top sites would reach the max PR and there would be no differentiation.

Take an example of a site that has PR8 a year back. Over a year it has added links and now should be a PR9. However, if this site is a PR9 then yahoo should be a PR10 or more. To keep the top sites at the same PR9, PR for all sites is downgraded. This site could then go from a PR8 to a PR7 if it has not added any links in the last year, even if it has not lost links.

If you reach PR11 the page will explode.

PageRank isn't everything... its a solid 40% of the equation, but today in google I have 2 of my PR0 sites appearing on page 1 and my PR7 site is on page 2 all for the same keyword... The PR7 is a phrase match in the title and URL and the PR0 have exact match on the search term. So for smaller niches your "on page" tuning is going to be more important than your backlinks.
