How do lenses get good pr with no backlinks?

Hi

Just checking out this lens
www.squidoo.com/top-fat-loss-secret-2009

Its got a PR of 4 and is ranked 258 out of 4265 lenses, and its just a promotion page, it shows no backlinks except from a couple of lenses.

So how would it get such a good PR and high ranking with just advertising on it?

Trying to understand squidoo so I can make some good lenses and what this guys doing obviously working a treat.

      I feel kinda mystified by squidoo. I like making lens but I would love to know how to get them to rank.

    sometimes the links that are linking to it don't show up for a while - google seems to be showing fewer + fewer links that are linking to sites - try checking the links in yahoo - but it can take a while for those links to be indexed + appear, while in the meantime the site gets the benefit of the links
