Hello Everybody,

Description:
I have started a new website 2 months ago. Domain name contains keyword, but it does not consist from the keyword only. Content is unique and fresh. But in Google search I can not see it when typing main keyword. Note: the main keyword is NOT very competitive.

Question: Generally, how long does a new website need to appear anywhere in G Search on its keyword if everything is done OK (according to Google rules) ?
/Note: the website is indexed (appears in G Search when typing URL or Website whole title/

I think you need better content or more high quality content. Plus you need more or better backlinks to your website. I think thats it.

and how do you think? - What is the approximate time to appear in G search on related keywords for a new website?

In other words, if I register domain name today and start adding new quality articles daily - also, linking my website from better links - when should I expect the result (appear in search on keywords) ?

        Hi andygoal,

The first step in getting your web pages ranked is to first get Google to spider the website and add it to their index. Have you check to see if it was even indexed?

Use the site: operator to filter all search results except those from your website by entering the following into the Google search box:

        site:mydomain.com

(replace "mydomain.com" with you actual website domain name)

If you see pages of your website listed then your website is indexed. If not then head on over to Google Webmaster Tools, add you website to your account and get it verified and Google will tell you why your website isn't indexed and what you can do about it.

If it is listed when you use the site: operator to check, then it is simply a case of you pages not having enough relevance, or enough link juice to rank in the top of SERPs. If that's the case then try downloading Google's SEO Starter Guide to learn how to get our website ranking for your targeted keyword.

Thank you for your answer. But one simple question:
What is the approximate time to appear in G search on related keywords (not in serp, not crawl, not index) for a totally NEW website?

            Hi andygoal,

There is no set time period, once you are indexed you may appear immediately, or never, depending on the level of competition and how well optimized your web page is, and how much promotion you have done for the page you are trying to rank.

There are four primary signal groups that Google uses for ranking:
            1. Keywords in URL
            2. Keywords in Page Title
            3. Keywords in Text
            4. Keywords in Anchor

Make sure that you have optimized for all four of the primary signal groups for best results. Also the more pages with those same signals that link to yours, and the more trusted those inbound links, the higher your page will rank for the targeted term.
