They have subtle differences.

Three of the biggest:

Make sure your urls are visitor friendly. That is, no ?=!post# mumbo jumbo.
(Google is the expert on decoding a page, bing isn't)

Make sure the important parts of your pages are at the top. Both google
and bing only look at a little, but bing looks at a smaller piece.

Google can count any links in your portfolio, from 1 to infinity. Bing
does not like sites without a certain backlink profile. Not enough
good links, bing could de-index you.

In all honestly, those 3 things may have changed. I don't care about
bing too much.

But, if anyone ever wondered why bing might give radically different
results than google, where there you go.

I don't think anyone here has spilled these bing secrets before.
Nobody really cares, I guess.

Funny thing. If you do all three, you actually are doiong great things
for google and bing. Go figure.

Yahoo and Bing seo can be done easily with title, tags and keywords optimization, inbound links, old age domains are given importance from yahoo, where as bing gives more value to keywords.

I think every seo need good quailty of backlinks.

For new sites, it seems like a lack of trust on the part of Google

I build silo sites using WordPress - and on Bing, in about a month I get ranked #1 for the primary search phrase against over 100 million competing pages - and just about every secondary and tertiary keyword from the site's inner pages top rank as well

Google is a completely different story - the same site gets #5 to #7 for some secondary search phrase from one of the site's inner pages against 5 million competing pages - and its a struggle to rank the remaining secondary and tertiary keywords - even when there's only 5,000 to 30,000 competing pages

I don't like back-link building (I only build a few) - but that looks like what it takes for Google - back-links and age

Anyway, I'm going back to black-hat - I'm going to build auto-populating WordPress silo sites with auto back-linking. starting in 2014 - and when I prove the concept, I'm going to start selling the plugin to the public

**** Google! - they forced me back to black-hat - I gave white-hat a go but they didn't make it worthwhile

All the stuff that used to work in Google in 2005 still works for Bing

bing and yahoo uses the same background, the 2005 - 2006 model of google. So what you used to rank in google in this years, you can just use these for bing and yahoo now. Check this: Help Center - Bing Webmaster Tools

Just focus on building Quality backlinks. Don't build low quality backlinks. Because Quality is more important than Quantity.

In my testing, Google Is the Industry leader, so rankings usually follow for Yahoo and Bing If ranked on Google.

Usually rank higher faster on Yahoo and Bing as well.
