For all my websites traffic dropped a lot these days (i mean yesterday and today). But there are same SERP positions. Is this because of Christmas?

Everything goes quiet this week. Some more than others but it depends on the business. Just enjoy your time while you can.

There are various factors that could contribute to loss of traffic, with regards to this season, your niche could be a major factor. Blogs in the entertainment niche would have more traffic during the holiday compared to business or tutorial blogs.

It's also a festive period, people hardly get bored since they would be around family and friend enjoying the season, this would reduce the number of visitors accessing the internet which will indirectly affect the traffic coming to your blog. Just keep doing what you've always do on daily basis with your blog, Things would definitely turn around as the holiday comes to an end.

My traffic also dropped to about 60% of what it was, so i guess it's because of Christmas/New Year.

The 24th was my lowest earning day in recent memory. Between Adsense and leads I've been averaging about $350/day the last few months and the 24th was <$28.

Overall, traffic has been down 40%-60% since the 21st, but it is almost back to normal today.

Oddly enough Christmas day was decent at a little over $200 from 50% less traffic than normal.

I'm involved with the IM/MMO niche.

Yes, I've seen a drop in traffic over the

    past holiday week.

I'm not surprised, it's picking back.

It depends on the niche, but for most of my websites, I observe a dip in traffic over the holidays... Nothing to get worried about.

We go through this every year. Someone ask around Christmas time about their drop off in traffic - and yes - it is because of the holidays. Things won't pick back up until after the New Year.

Happened here also was wondering that too. It makes sense for some industries/niches I guess. One of my sites is based around gifts (it is still kind of new too) so it makes sense traffic would drop now and the other is being worked on to fix rankings with Google so that makes sense too.

Dec 21-26 was dead for us, this is pretty normal, and we don't mind it because Nov - Dec 20 is absolutely nutso crazy busy for us.

It depends on your niche whether you see an increase or decrease. It is a *huge* holiday week in the US, which could result in a traffic drop.
