I used to use market samurai. However, I found that just using many of the kw research gigs on Fiverr is a better use of my time. Pick high rated providers and be very clear regarding your 'seed' keywords or keyword objectives.

I agree. I use fiverr gigs becuase some are great for keywords and I rather pay 5 bucks then to spend my time looking for good keywords myself.

Looking for free stuff? Use these:
    a. Google Adwords Keyword Planner
    b. Wordtracker.

Other keyword research tool are one way or other based on google adword keyword planner so why not use the big daddy. It takes time to get accustomed but the search results are worth giving time.

I'd also recommend Google's Keyword Planner and Wordtracker.

    Hi, hacker12!

There are some keyword research tools that can be an effective alternative to Google's Keyword Planner. To name a few:

Wordtracker - offers a variety of features designed to target keywords, and help with other areas of optimization as well. That's a subscription-based service, but if you're trying to optimize PPC programs or other marketing campaigns, you may find it to be a great value.

Keyword Discovery - another useful tool for keyword research. The tool pulls data from the top search engines and a accumulates them in its database. Besides
keyword data, Keyword Discovery lets you view historical trends, effectiveness, bid values on PPC campaigns and more.

SpyFu. This subscription-based tool lets you check and monitor the keywords other sites in your niche are using, while also tracking those to use on your own ones.

Bing Keyword Research Tool - if you are optimizing for Bing - that is definitely the tool to consider. The tool focuses solely on Bing organic search, serving up suggestions based on language, country, or region for personalized results. Bing Keyword Research Tool is totally free and available upon signing up for Bing Webmaster Tools.

Micro Niche Finder - lets you find the most traffic-productive keywords for your website and the niche you operate in.

YouTube Keyword Tool - a good tool to find keywords to optimize title of your videos, the tags, the video description, and any associated relevant links.

Hope this list will help you find an alternative to Google Keyword Planner.
