Semantic Web: Schema.org vs Microformats vs RDFs

So I read somewhere that its never a case of Schema.org vs Microformats vs RDFa but I still added that to my title in order to catch your attention (as per what Neil Patel suggested in one of his posts that I read at MOZ 
).
I intent to implement semantic web for an e-commerce site and have the following questions:
1. Since Google, Yahoo and Microsoft all have agreed upon supporting Schema.org, would I be correct to choose Schema.org?
2. I am not too technically adept with semantic web so I wonder if it is possible to have the same website compliant with schema.org, micorformats and RDFa all at the same time?
