I have questions about s.e.o. and the google keyword tool. I have a very basic understanding of seo and I would be very happy if someone could answer these questions for me.

1. Why do I have to pay for a click? For Example: If I pay .30 per click for the keyword "lets make gold" and it gets 6 thousand searches a month how is that going to help me?

2. If letsmakegolddotcom is taken then how much can letsmakegolddotorg help me or if I switch up the keyword a little to letsmakegoldnowdotcom. I need to know if it has to be an exact match. So lets say I'm looking on google for how to make gold and I type in lets make gold...Will I get lets make gold now in the search results since letsmakegolddotcom is taken?

3. If I get lucky and find a keyword with 100k monthly searches, lets say its bubbagumpsshrimpingdotcom(lol) none owns this domain and go daddy has it for 9.99. can't I buy it and sit on it, or resale for 2500? it can be .com or .org or .net

Someone help me please it may be simple to you but its kind of new to me so any help is greatly appreciated.

    1. You don't HAVE to pay for a click. If you decide to use Google AdWords (an advertising program), then you pay.
If you can rank #1 for a keyword that gets 6K monthly searches, then you're doing great! You'll get at least 2K/month visitors as a result.

    2. It doesn't have to be an exact mach. Create a brandable name - marketingmojos.com vs. internetmarketing.com. Make your domain name punchy and easy to remember.

ALWAYS go with a .com. No real SEO benefit, but it leads to higher direct traffic.

    3. Nobody will but it at 2.5K. Especially if it has nothing on it. Make your own site. Profit for your own site.

Glad to meet you! Let me know if you have any more Qs.

Jrjwriter, how can I set up the local burger house on seo and adwords?
When I'm in keyword I look at local searches but I'm not sure how to target those searches directly to the burger place. In my area there are tons of searches per month
