Hi,

I trying to build SEO optimized site and searching google for seo tips, but that's out of topic...

What I found, that sites with no meta keywords, sometimes without meta description and without meta robots have a first places in google search results, also these sites have a high PR.

Someone know why? Till now I was sure that I have to fill out meta keywords and meta description fields in each my wp post, but now I not sure...

Any information would be great! For my new project I have only newly registered domain and hosting account.

The major search engines stopped paying attention to meta keywords about a decade ago.

PR is all about links. Nothing to do with anything on your site.

I've found that meta description are more useful for improving your CTR than anything else. If a blog post doesn't have meta description Google will pick out a portion of text related to the search and use it as a description. However, many times this doesn't result in anything that catches the users attention of gets them to click thru. If you have meta description however it will more than likely be shown to the user increasing the chances that they click thru. For some odd reason Google sometimes still pulls the description from the post which I don't really like.

      Thank you both!

One more question - keyword related subdomains... google (and major search engines) paying attention on them? I asking because I have 5 letters good sounding domain but it tells nothing. My idea was to research good keyword and create subdomain for that niche, maybe create many subdomains for different keywords and niches. Is this way to go or it's wrong way?

As Mike has so kindly pointed out search engines haven't worried about meta keywords for about a decade.

Meta descriptions don't matter all that much either as Google will choose one to use if they feel that the stock description is too spammy.

That's why you should never keyword spam your meta description or create a super long summary of the article. Just a few sentences to motivate the user to click thru.
