Google content ad limit per page

Currently, AdSense publishers may place up to three AdSense for content units on one webpage. This includes a maximum of one 300x600 ad unit per page. You may also place a maximum of three link units and two search boxes on each webpage.

Google has silently changed the limit, as earlier when additional unit placed, it showed blank space but now on we can have 6 ad units per page. But confused about it, use or not use...( whats your suggestions ??

The official limit of 3 hasn't changed according to Google: https://support.google.com/adsense/a...limit_per_page

The reason OP sees more than 3 on some sites is because they have special arrangements with Google.

I believe the limit is still 3. Keep in mind that some ad blocks that you see might resemble adsense, but are a competitor or have just been styled in a way to make them look like adsense blocks. I know there are some ad networks that stylize their ads to look like adsense ads, but in reality they are cpa offers.

All you have to do is look at the sites HTML & you'll see they're premium publishers that don't run the typical pub# ad code.

if you put up more than 3 ad units, lets say 4, the fourth one would show nothing.

well, atleast from my experience, i'm not a premium member...

Well 3 ads is maximum limit but if you trying to post more than 3 it'll possible that 4th one would be created temporary but not work

According to Google only three adsense ads are allowed but if your blog is good enough (having awesome traffic etc) then Google may give you premier position and allow you to display 4 adds per page or even more.
