I Burnt my Yoast

I am just wondering if you need to configure yoast seo setting or not? For my previous site I used the settings from this guide: The Beginner’s Guide to WordPress SEO by Yoast: Configuration | Wptuts+

Im installing yoast on my second site and curious if I should import the settings from that site or just leave it be as the plugin comes.

Is there any real difference SEO wise?
