I am in the gambling Niche, I know it's the hardest niche to work in! But looking to build some contacts and get some advice.

Currently making good money from Facebook and twitter in this area! And looking to progress this into a website (possibly 4)

So my website is currently getting built, and I have loads of plans on getting people from Facebook and twitter onto the page!

It's all sports gambling related, and have millions of contacts in social media.....

Now the bad part! I have zero SEO skills! I have spent the last week reading on here and working out plans!

I have huge facebook and twitter followings! And will start looking at google +

Any advice on the website? And plans I should look at? This is a new world for me, but have time to build it up!

Gary

Yes I have been making money from sports gambling on Facebook and twitter for a long time.

I have 250k niche football gambling likes and
90k horse racing along with other sports.

I want to expand away from these now though and build other areas.

I have all gambling contacts, bloggers, feeds!

      But have zero experience

If you have that ammount of social media followers, just create a website and use your followers to drive traffic to your site.

        No..you don't.

Have you tested the Click through rate of your social traffic. I mean setting up pages on an independent site and monitoring traffic? That's where I'd start, to give yourself an idea of response traffic.

FB can be a bitch because fans need to subscribe to your page, before they get updates in their own feed from your page. But you probably know that.

In terms of SEO, I wouldn't touch anything like external backlinking for the time being.

Build a really good quality site. Give the visitors what they want, and see how it plays out. If you build a great site, they will build the links for you.

Working in a niche like Gambling you need one of 2 things.

        Be a great content creator
        Be a great SEO

        Or both.

You've done well enough to build up a massive following in social. And like you said you have made some money from it too. So why you trying to fix something that's not broken?

If your content was engaging enough to make you a huge fan base and money "on social", you will be perfectly fine expanding it "off social". So don't try some BS DIY SEO job when you don't have to.

A bit naive don't you think? I know I haven't linked out to a gambling site, or adult one, although I've frequented a few in the past year.

You'll want to start with "generic" resources that allow gambling links. This includes web2.0s such as wordpress, blogger, and others. Also, many sports betting type blogs need guest posters so you can do guest posting for multiple industries (if they don't accept the bio link, simply move on).

Bookmarking. Not as hard as adult, so you can get away with social bookmarking. Same is true for social network signals (G+, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Stumbleupon, Linkedin). More interactions the better. Can check totals from ahrefs or other software programs.

Manual forum posting - many forums allow signatures. You can write naturally and have a branded link back to your website. 75%+ will not delete your sig or your account if you provide value.

Link buying/exchanges. Takes more capital and a bit blackhat but you can target those selling these type of links but they are typically expensive and only rented (would avoid until you know what you are doing, and have exhausted the other methods).

I don't think so. Stupid is what stupid does.

Where do you think his ready to roll traffic will make those "real" links for him?

There's certainly people who'd do something like that. However, I took a peek at the backlink profile for couple of porn sites, and judging by the domain names it seems that many linkers are "in the biz". Or at least they're running some sort of hobby perv site.

I bet you could create a very successful linkbait even if the site was about gambling. Just look at the interesting and sciencey stuff OkCupid publishes, or the dinosaur comics The Oatmeal did for a dating site. Maybe you need to create a blog that's a bit "cleaner" so that people are not uncomfortable to link to it.

Links in signature will not help your SEO. Not on this site, and not on any other forum.
Who told me this? An ex Google web spam engineer.

              What's your excuse?

if you have website then you should focus to first optimize the webpages means focus on on page optimization. As per my advice if your on page is good then it help to more to start coming in google either by long tail or may be used keywords in title tag.

Second thing you should hire content expert, who can write quality content and SEO used to get index in google and generate traffic as well as leads.
