Infolinks reduce Adsense CTR

Hi fellow warriors.

I have been experimenting with using Infolink in conjunction with Adense on some of my sites. Over the last year I noticed my CTR dropped with Adsense when I introduced Infolinks. Which is not good because you can earn a lot more with Adsense than Info links. Infolinks you seem to earn less that 1 cent per click.

What are other peoples experiences ?

    Hi,

This is Itai from Infolinks. I do understand you are comparing Infolinks and Adsense. It’s important to note that AdSense and Infolinks are both similar and distinct from each other. Similarities include high paying, quality ads and the ability to reach the visitor. A few distinctions between the two include product choices and ad locations.

While AdSense pioneered the ads field with conventional and display ads, Infolinks focused on monetizing unconventional website assets. Infolinks’ advanced ad placement delivers ads in between the lines, outside of a site’s frame and more.

Keep in mind that you do not have to choose between Google or Infolinks – you can use them both on the same web pages. These two types of ads are compatible on the same page, and using both of them together is actually the best way to maximize your total earnings off of your website.

I highly recommend you contact our support team at Support@infolinks.com, and they would be happy to help you further optimize your site and improve your ad performance.

    Thank you,
    Infolinks

I have always used both, but the reality is that anytime you have more advertising choices on your blogs, one or more will be effected. I am going to stop using infolinks and try just the adsense. The reality is that infolinks is just a mere earner of what they once was. For me it is the simple not placing all your eggs in one basket. Also their payments no longer come sooner than later. Something that has thrown my own personal finances off whack. I still do not have a payment for December. Just a few short months back, you could have expected a payment for December on February 1 or even January 31. Not anymore.

I'm sorry but any site that I visit that has infolinks almost automatically sucks. Sliders and pop up texts giving me "suggestions" on products based on the keywords highlighted, it's not a good experience.

No thanks, adsense ads are at least easy to spot and don't necessarily take away from user experience. Infolinks does and what, you get like a penny per visitor you send AWAY from your site?

        A double no thank you.

You made a very wise decision. Infolink ads are useless and can make any site look very bad and spammy.

AdSense did not pioneer display advertising - in fact it didn't even exist when the early ad networks were popping up with 468 x 60 display ad units back in the 1990's.

If you want to demonstrate how Infolinks have expertise in this field, you're going about it the wrong way.

I've been using adsense for several years now and also combined infolinks with adsense on a couple of my sites. The infolinks CTR was higher than adsense and did indeed reduce adsense CTR. Don't use both on the same page, at least not text adsense ads and contextual infolinks ads.

Traffic probably bailed from the page/s because of the 37 infolink popups.

    I can't stand crappy popups.

Infolinks pays peanuts and hurts bounce rate. The infolinks rep above that says infolinks has high paying ads is lying they never pay more than a few cents a click.
