I see some Adwords Ads being forwarded to other pages.

  • I´m not sure if this is allowed. Google does not like it that more than one ad leads to the same landing page.

    Hi Steven,

Yes, AdWords allows redirects, though they state that you must limit it to no more than 5 redirects from on each link. They require that the domain name in your display URL be the same domain in the landing page, which is the final page after all redirects are completed.

This allows you to use third party tracking services, as long as the landing page is on the same domain as the display URL.

It's allowed, but your QS will be 1-4, therefore your bids will go sky high.

Best is to use your own QS10 landing page, if you want to survive and thrive in the PPC war.

No way I have quality score of 10.. the redirects do no harm..

People are using Trackin202 worldwide and Google wouldn't want to penalise all those big spenders.

Yes it is possible. I am using redirect on a website and I have QS 9. It is about the CTR that matters the most.

Weird. I only tried this today and within 30 minutes got an email from google which stated:

Ad Status: Suspended - Pending Revision
          Ad Issue(s): Inaccurate Display URL
I'm not sure if it's just the stroke of luck or the way the redirect is made. For the ones who are running redirects on adwords with no problem can you please direct me to a script you are using or post it here.

          Thanks in advance,

          Dan

            Hi Dan,

You should have no problem using a redirect as long as you set it up properly. You need to use the same domain name in your display URL as your final landing page. If the destination URL is different from the display URL, it's okay as long as it redirects to a page that is on the exact same domain name as your Display URL.

You display URL and Landing page URLs must be on the same domain, but your destination URL can be different. If you use a display URL that matches the domain of the destination URL but not the final page that your visitors land on then it will be rejected.
