Yahoo - biased search engine ?

We used to on page one on Yahoo for our keyword now since we've changed web hosts a few months ago we are on page 5 on Yahoo.

We haven't implemented meta keywords on our site though, maybe this makes a difference with Yahoo.?

Regardless, it seems like Yahoo might be biased since we stopped using them as our webhost but it could be a coincidence too since the page design has changed a little.

    Yahoo uses bing for search...

If hosting with yahoo was a boon, why not go for broke?
Host with google! That'll show 'em!

    On a related note...
I am convinced that a blogspot could get a tad bit of a boost,
soley because it's done the way google wants things done, and,
google knows about your blog/site immediately. It could break
some sort of tie. No, don't read into that more than what it states.
It means nothing of the sort like some magical power. Google does
great things with your blogspot blog, like making it worldwide using
a country tld whenever and however appropriate.

Blogspot is amazing. If only people who thought youtube was amazing
    ever discovered it...

You think a video on youtube has an edge over some other site?

Google wishes everyone would use blogger, youtube, and g+...

Okay..way off topic...no way hosting on yahoo is ever anything.
    Now about the yahoo directory...

Yahoo's results are based on Bing so it's unlikely to be the change of host directly affecting your page position.

Meta keywords are ignored by all the major search engines so that's unlikely to be a factor.

Search engine algorithms change regularly, new pages appear regularly, all sorts of factors.

Sorry it's a vague answer but there are too many variables (and too little information) for it to be anything else.

Did you move to a slower host? That could do it.
If you're at Hostgator/Bluehost/Justhost/etc -- EIG -- then I can see this happening.

We moved to Shopify so I think the hosting speed is fine.

One thing that has been tricky was implementing H1 tags - there doesn't seem to be an easy way to put it on the home page.

The product category pages seem to have h1 tags but it seems tricky to get one on the homepage as there is a small description on the bottom of the page and the top is product images and a slider that shows some products and descriptions on them as well.

Also the site hasn't posted on google plus yet either. I wonder if even without google plus followers - posting backlinks to some pages or new blog post might add some link credibility to the site on google.

Edit: Now it looks like the site is on page one of Yahoo, I also made a new Bing adwords campaign earlier today so maybe that has to do with it or maybe I just missed it before or something. ..
